Stay in style with L’hotel élan in Hong Kong
I recently checked out one of the hotels in Ngau Tau Kok, Hong Kong and I’m sure many of you would be surprised to know that there is actually a hotel there as it is in the industrial area.
Located approximately 40km away, the journey from the Hong Kong International Airport to the L’hotel élan takes roughly 60 minutes via car/MTR.
The check-in process at the hotel was fairly quick and my luggages were brought to the room by the porter at the same time. Unlike other hotels, the check in counter is actually located on the highest floor – Level 35 along with their skyline rooftop pool and gymnasium.
You get to enjoy the view that the harbour has to offer as well as the urban view of the building nearby. On the same level, there is a small gymnasium called “twist” which allows you to do a quick workout with a urban/harbour view. After your workout, you will also be able to enjoy a cup of tea/coffee at their lounge area beside the gymnasium.
The elan suite rooms are 60sqm in size and this is considered very spacious as compared to the typical Hong Kong room space which is very small due to land scarcity. The suite is split into different areas with separate dining and living areas as well as a beautifully sectioned off bedroom for privacy and the bathroom which connects the bedroom as well as living/dining area. The entire room also comes with a 3.5metre high ceiling and the one I stayed in came with a long balcony connected which you can access via the living room or bedroom. All hotel information as well as in-room dining can be found on the iPad in the room which comes with their application called the eGuest system.
For the shower area, it comes with a bathtub and both a handheld showerhead as well as a rain-shower. Don’t worry at this hotel you are fully covered! Their disposable amenities were quite extensive and items such as loofah, comb, shower cap, personal hygiene products are all provided.
Neighbourhood & Food
Just 5minutes walk will bring you to the harbourside walk where you get to see the harbour where you can spend time with your loved ones or simply enjoy the view.
Hotel elan also have their own restaurant named Forte. They offer both a semi-buffet lunch and dinner and I would say both the interior design of restaurant and the variety of food served is highly suitable for families, business travellers and it is also a place where business meetings can take place.
The neighborhood is also worth exploring, where there are cafes as well as takeaway outlets available. You can also check out an instagram worthy spot which is the Pedestrian bridge at Wai Yip Street.
If quietness and efficiency is your thing and you would like to explore a different side of Hong Kong, be sure to check out L’hotel élan. Many thanks to Karen, Suki and team at L’hotel élan for the great hospitality.
